Kick-off Meeting Minutes

The minutes of the kick-off meeting and all presentations. Executive summary: The 1st Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting took place on January 19, 2006. The members of the PSC are Ari Hottinen (2NOK), Holger Boche (3FhG/HHI), Giorgio Taricco (4PoliTo), Gerald Matz (5VUT), Helmut Bölcskei (6ETHZ), Ezio Biglieri (7FBM-UPF), Christoph Mecklenbräuker (FTW). During this PSC meeting, Andy Burg and Martin Schubert represented ETHZ and FhG/HHI, respectively. It was agreed that the coordinator transfers 78% of the estimated EC contribution for the first year to every partner until January 30, 2006. This corresponds to 2/3 of the EC’s downpayment available on the trust account. Reporting procedures were established on a quarterly basis. Audit certificates will be required from VUT and ETHZ in January 2007. The other MASCOT partners might consider to be audited voluntarily to minimise financial risks (see Agenda Item 8d). The project will be presented during the Concertation Meeting in Brussels during March 21-23, 2006. The open-source content management system “plone” will be used for the private webspace of MASCOT.
