Subject: Communication Technologies Concertation meeting 22-23 March 2006

Dear IST-FP6 Call 4 Project Co-ordinator,

As you may already know, we organise twice a year “Concertation Meetings” for Communication Technologies projects, where we invite all projects from strategic Objectives 'Mobile and Wireless Systems Beyond 3G' and 'Broadband for All', to meet to interact and co-operate on topics of mutual interest. The structure of these meetings is a first day with a “plenary” meeting, where all projects meet and a second day where projects meet in “clusters” around specific technical topics. Further information can be found in page http://www.cordis.lu/ist/ct/neweve/concertation.htm.

We are now preparing the agenda of the 6th concertation meeting, next 22-23 March. You can see the first draft in our web page http://www.cordis.lu/ist/ct/neweve/concertation/6_06concertagenda.htm. As you can see, your project has tentatively been identified as a candidate project to be presented during the plenary meeting.

Therefore, we invite you to prepare a short presentation (5 min. maximum) of your project, strictly following this structure (maximum one slide per each of the following items, please):

- Title
- Introduction
- Project Objectives
- Project Key Issues
- Issues for collaboration with other projects (see project summaries at http://www.cordis.lu/ist/ct/proclu/p/projects.htm)

- Possible cluster participation (existing clusters or new proposals, see new clustering structure proposal at ftp://ftp.cordis.lu/pub/ist/docs/ct/portfolio_analysis.pdf)

- Contact person for the different clusters/issues

We ask you to summarise the main aims and issues addressed by your project, including how in your view best inter-project co-operation could be achieved and the technical issues your project is willing to co-operate about.

We would need to know your availability for presenting the project and the speaker the earliest possible, as due to the limited time available we have to assess which projects will be presented.

Please send to me the slide presentation before 14 March to include them in the concertation procedures and to have all of them prepared for presentation during the meeting (to avoid delays connecting laptops).

To have a profitable meeting, we would like also to ask you:

- To inform all your partners on the process, and bring enough participants to the meeting to cover all clusters you may be interested.

- To send to us (if you have not done so yet) a summary of your project, as requested by my colleague Peter Stuckmann on his mail 21/12/05 so that we can give you a summary of all projects at the meeting.
